QUINCY -- Grammy-nominated country music duo Brothers Osborne will headline the Adams County Fair Star Concert this year.

The fair will be one of the duo's stops on the Dirt Rich Tour. The concert is set for Saturday, July 29.

"We are pretty excited," Fair Board member Melissa Shriver-Hackamack said. "We typically get newer acts, but these guys have already been established."

Deale, Md., brothers T.J. and John Osborne make up the country duo. T.J. Osborne is the lead singer and plays rhythm guitar, while John Osborne plays lead guitar and provides background vocals.

Brothers Osborne have gained notoriety with songs "Stay a Little Longer" and "Rum." They were nominated for a Grammy this year for their song "21 Summer." "Stay a Little Longer" received a Grammy nomination last year.

"I think this is going to attract a lot of attention to the fair this year," Shriver-Hackamack said. "Most of the time, to see these guys you have to go far away and pay $60 or more a ticket. For this, you don't even have to travel."

Grandstand seating for the concert is free with the $10 fair admission fee. Track seating tickets are an additional $10 and will be available for purchase beginning Saturday, June 3, at Farm and Home Supply, 4625 Broadway in Quincy. Shriver-Hackamack said there will also be ticket giveaways leading up to the fair.

According to Brothers Osborne's website, the duo will be available for a meet-and-greet at the Star Concert for select members of their fan club. Quincy-based Blacktop South will also perform at the Star Concert, Shriver-Hackamack said.

"This is one of the many things we are offering to the public," she said. "We will have our standard popular schedule with some great highlights along the way."

This year marks the 76th Adams County Fair. The fair will be from Wednesday, July 26, to Tuesday, Aug. 1, at the fairgrounds outside Mendon on Ill. 336. For more information, visit
